1Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Hound application (“App”) developed and maintained by Stray Labs (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By installing, accessing, or using the App, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old and that you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the App.

2License

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, Stray Labs grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:

• Download and install the App on Android devices you own or control.
• Use the App for personal, non-commercial file sharing on your local network.
• Access the web portal served by the App from devices on the same network.

This license does not include the right to sublicense, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the App without explicit written permission from Stray Labs.

You are solely responsible for the content you share using Hound. Stray Labs has no visibility into or control over the files transferred through the App.

5Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Stray Labs expressly disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to:

• Implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
• Warranties that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
• Warranties regarding the accuracy or reliability of results obtained through the App.
• Warranties that any defects in the App will be corrected.

6Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stray Labs and its contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Loss of data resulting from use of the App or a device failure during transfer.
• Unauthorised access to files you share over an unsecured network.
• Any damages arising from third-party use of the server you operate.
• Business interruption or economic loss of any kind.

This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory under which the claim is brought, even if Stray Labs has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

7Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Stray Labs from any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to (a) your use of the App, (b) the content you share through the App, or (c) your violation of these Terms.

8Privacy

Your use of Hound is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Because Hound does not collect personal data, the privacy implications are minimal — but we encourage you to read it.

9Changes to Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Material changes may also be noted in the app update release notes.

Continued use of Hound after changes are published constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you disagree with revised Terms, please stop using the App.
